Thursday 3rd August – Arrival
- Registration will begin at 2pm and run until the evening (time tbc).
- We ask that attendees using our on-site accommodation arrive with plenty of time to get settled.
- Attendees who will not be using the accommodation are encouraged to register on Thursday anyway.
- In the daytime (2pm-6pm), the registration desk will be based in the World Kitchen in the Newton Building where refreshments will be provided free of charge. We encourage attendees to arrive within this window if possible.
- In the evening (6pm onwards), the registration desk will be based in our evening venue, The Loft Bar inside the Students’ Union. Attendees are encouraged to socialise here.
Friday 4th August – Welcome, Daytime Sessions & Evening Entertainment
- Welcome speech by the organisers in the main lecture theatre at 9am before the sessions start. All attendees are encouraged to attend.
- There will be two morning sessions with a 15 minute break in between.
- Lunchtime picnic at the Arboretum, weather permitting. Bring your own snacks.
- 3 afternoon sessions with a 15 minute break between each.
- Evening entertainment in The Loft Bar from 6pm.
Saturday 5th August – Decision Making Plenary, Sessions Continue, BiCon Bazaar & Farewell Party
- The DMP will take place on Saturday morning at 9am before sessions start.
- Sessions continue (x2 morning, x3 afternoon)
- BiCon Bazaar – One of the rooms during the last 3 sessions of the day will be set up for stalls. Attendees are encouraged to bring things to sell or swap. There should be BiCon 2023 merch available!
- The BiCon Ball in The Loft Bar. Some furniture will be removed so there can be music and dancing! The ball theme this year is “Outer Space”.
Sunday 6th August – Goodbyes
- There will be three rooms running sessions starting at 10am including a clothes swap.
- There will be a short farewell speech by the Organisational Team at 1pm..
