Accommodation

On-Site Accommodation

The on-site accommodation for BiCon 2023 will be in the Byron Residence, Hampden Street, Nottingham NG1 4FW.

You will be allocated an individual room with a single bed and en-suite within a flat, sharing a kitchen and living area with other BiCon attendees. Bed linen and towels are provided. The number of rooms per flat varies between 3-9.

All accommodation is self-catering

Appliances/facilities included with the accommodation :

  • Oven and hob
  • Microwave
  • Kettle
  • Toaster
  • Fridge and freezer facilities
  • Dining area and seating
  • Laundrette – attendees must provide their own laundry gel/powder and download the laundrette app to pay.

See this page for a list of the nearest supermarkets.

Please note plates, pots, pans and cutlery are NOT included – We know this is inconvenient but sadly there’s nothing we can do, sorry!

Room allocation is being done by the accommodation staff. We will pass on the relevant details to ensure that you share a flat with who you want and that any access needs are met.

We have confirmation that the blocks of flats allocated are for BiCon attendees only.

If you are coming as part of a group or family we will do our best to make sure you are allocated the same flat – please mention it on your registration form when you book your ticket.

We will also try to have a number of designated “quiet” or “party!” flats – let us know while registering if you have a preference.

We will always do our absolute best to accommodate you but cannot make any guarantees.

Accessible rooms are available, please email bookings.bicon2023@gmail.com to discuss your needs.

If you intend to bring children into the accommodation it is vital you let us know AS SOON AS POSSIBLE due to the venue’s safeguarding requirements. The cut off date for all bookings involving children using our accommodation was 25th June 2023. We will not accept any further bookings like this.

Hotels & AirBnb

If Uni digs aren’t for you, there are hotels within walking distance, including a  Travelodge a short walk away (discount potentially available) and a Premier Inn over the road from our daytime venue.

AirBnb is another option which may be more cost effective, especially for groups.

If you decide not to stay on-site you just need to buy a non-residential priced ticket and attend registration as normal.
